Idiot Society

Society is geared towards the bungled and the botched. It has to be. Otherwise there would be no end of trouble. Society has to accommodate the fact that most of those in it will under-perform and be a drain on the system. They take more than they give. This is the 80/20 principle: the productive element is the smaller part of any system.
This means that those driven by ideas beyond mere materialism and consumption will find it tough going. Their interests will be less catered for and in time they too are likely to become a drain on the system from being marginalised. By this account everyone gets dragged to the lower level.
Is this a cause for concern or has it always been that way? Probably the latter.
