The Jokey-ness Of Celts
The Jokey-ness Of Celts

The Celts are apt to turn everything into a joke. They don't like to take things too seriously. Of course they do in some sneaky way take things very seriously but they prefer to present frivolous to the world as a modus operandi.
That being so it is difficult to be taken seriously in the Celtic context. If you’re serious about something you tend to be branded as having no sense of humour. This makes it difficult to get new things done. Innovation and alternative thinking get passed off in a joke. Everything stays where it is. Things, other than material matters and money (they’re extremely serious about money!) move on reluctantly and conservatism is the standard feature.
Behind the hospitable and friendly exterior of the Celt lies something quite dark and sinister, something in the ancestral heritage acting as a nemesis. That personal lives are often blighted by immaturity and a lacking in trust is an indicator. So is the unhealthy relationship with alcohol and the near romantic association with failed enterprise.
