A.A. Gill On Model Behaviour
A.A. Gill On Model Behaviour

Although there is something compelling about it there is distinctly something I hate about so called reality TV. Now maybe it’s because I’m becoming a crotchety old sod, but whatever the case, Adrian Gill probably speaks for many when he remarks on a show called “Model Behaviour”. He suggests this programme represents the middle-aged cynically manipulating the dreams we all have at the beginning of adult life. They do this to glean some kind of “smirking, murky, jealous pleasure”.
Interesting too he should draw attention to the fact that the producers of such television are the ones who would throw their hands up in horror at the idea of a Miss World contest or beauty pageant. “Model Behaviour” is voyeuristic and exploitative in a similar way.
This is welcome commentary as ever from the celebrated critic.
