Sad Indictment
Sad Indictment

It is an unfortunate fact that somewhere behind all the laws, politics, contracts and agreements, all the stuff in general that holds human congress together, lies violence.
Without the threat and capacity to enforce, violently as required, then the law and social constructs that underpin society are worthless.
It is regretful to have to say but given the way of humans it is a community’s capacity for such violent enforcement that provides its authority.
A sad indictment on the nature of things indeed.
