I’ll be a bit tough on women again!
It’s seems to me that, historically, pre and post feminism, women have been pretty stupid in being dictated to by their procreative biology.
It’s not news that men are dick-lead. They are regularly vilified for it by women who are far less criticised for allowing themselves to be lead by their ovaries. No matter how many bad relationships, ruined careers, screwed up psyches and screwed up kids, motherhood still demands sanctity.
This arrangement has, by and large, suited human societies for thousands of years so it’s not something, radical feminists apart, people are going to be readily critical of. But really when it comes to the more elevated aspects of human nature, including healthy relationships and good bonds, for women to be so driven by their need to procreate often to the exclusion of all else is a form of idiocy. For them to make this the central element in forging relationships with men, albeit not always consciously, is bad for human relations generally.
It’s only now, able to fight back against the dictatorship of biological determinism with birth control, that the self-imposed slavery of women as mothers might be reflected on, alas with some intelligence please.
