Inverse Law
Inverse Law

It is understandable to want to have the dark side of humanity banished to a far off place. It is a deep irony however that attempts to do so invariably result in the opposite and actually empower the undesirable.
This might be an example of an inverse law which demands a counter-intuitive understanding. The bad acts need to be exposed and embraced rather than exiled in order not to be consistently subject to their ill-effects, to behaviours which seem to arise furthered empowered by having been previously repressed.
It is not new wisdom this and is the seminal insight from Freud and his disciples. It is one of the cornerstones of an evolved understanding of psychological make-up.
