Vintage Ear

Even after working in the biz my adult life my passion for music still grows. Oldest memories back to childhood (Beatles days) are all seasoned with records down the decades. Hearing the old stuff again it feels only richer with time.

Subjectivity

Authenticity is no more than a metaphor for expressing something that touches you in a particular way. It's not actual. Music is about what you feel. It's internal. Your thoughts on it say more about what's inside you than about the music itself.

Maturity

Develop your ear and listen openly getting over the need to be judgemental. After a while you'll like more music than you ever did and without so many rules around supposed authenticity, integrity, credibility, sincerity and the bs. All that stuff is a hangover from youth and the need to be hipster-cool. Grow up!
