You can’t always quantify what a producer does. Sometimes it’s a little, sometimes a lot. Sometimes the little a producer does is a lot because it influences a recorded work in a valuable way.

My preferred mode is to be invested fully in a project - i.e. in the composition and arrangement as well as in the sonic aspects. Some artists of course neither need nor want that and require only a reliable ear, someone to bounce ideas off and provide objectivity. I can accommodate to suit. I can work to brief whether you’re a singer-songwriter in need of musical arrangements or a film director in need of a soundtrack.
