Who Knew
Back then we provided studio services to a fair number of bands who had some success - Aztek Camera, Del Amitri, The Bluebells, Kissing The Pink to name a few. The day after I left my radio job to commit fully to running Sirocco Studio I recorded a band who were less well known. They were The Laughing Apple and we liked them.
Alan, the bass player, was a fine musician indeed. He would go on to do more than be in an obscure band. He founded a record label which launched one of British Pop’s biggest success stories. Who knew.
This song was the lead track on the band’s Ha Ha Hee Hee EP. It is re-mastered here from the original analogue tapes.
SOMETIMES I WISH (post-punk)
Recorded: Clark Sorley
(1981)
