If I had to pick a best from the artists who came through my studio last year it would be tough. There were so many talented ones and such a variety. But I think I would choose Jennna with this performance of a song by Jason Robert Brown from his musical The Last Five Years.

To witness a young woman from the town, her career ahead of her, standing in the room a few feet away giving this performance, live, one take with an accompanist, nothing added bar a tad reverb, is quite something. It is for moments like this I continue to do this job.
