McKellar
I worked with many well-knowns when I was earning my professional chops. There were few more talented than Kenneth McKellar. The first album he did following his years with Decca was made in Glasgow and I was privileged to record it.
I saw first hand that behind the kilted tenor was an able musical arranger. He arranged four of the songs on the album. When I asked him why he didn't do them all he said he hadn't wanted to be too pushy. Such modesty now seems from a whole other era.
I heard that Ken died today.
