In my experience most musicians aren’t too bothered about the recording technology. You want to perform and hear something back that pleases you. Music is about feel. Sound is not a thing separate from music. So my focus is always on the music itself. I believe in catching the moment and being intuitive enough to know when you’ve succeeded in doing that. With that the sound pretty much takes care of itself.

We use ProTools on Macintosh computers. The system is powerful. It can do everything the old analogue systems did and a lot more. The most elaborate and detailed productions are possible which previously would have required an army of people. Want to record live and fast with a bunch of players in the room? That’s easily accommodated too.
